  1. Just wanted to say congrats on UofT! I did my undergrad there and still live here -- great city. Any questions about the area, feel free to PM me.

  2. I got my acceptances about 4 weeks before the deadline to accept. So I got UofT about March 20 and U of Manitoba only recently. By the way, I am an American (also applying for PhD programs not Masters) so they may have made decisions earlier for Americans/Internationals since US schools do have an April 15 deadline. I've been quite surprised at how late Canadian universities are-- based on the posts to this website. My sympathies for having to wait even longer. I am done with the anxiety of waiting and now on to the terror of actually planning to move and try to prove that UT didn't make a stupid mistake by accepting me. Good luck!
  3. Yea, its just another day. I was given an April 21 deadline by U of Toronto and a later deadline by U of Manitoba. It is complicated if you are applying to both US and Canadian universities. Good luck!
  4. A Question about deadlines for acceptances: I was accepted to graduate programs at 2 Canadian universities , but none of them told me of a deadline to accept. Could that be right or am I missing something? Thanks.
  5. Greetings fellow grad students! So... I am an American who is going to Toronto in the fall with the guaranteed minimum funding for Arts/Sci PhD students: $15,000 plus tuition and fees. Do you think that graduate students can really live on this in the expensive city of Toronto? Or will I be starving at the end of the month? I plan to get a bachelor apartment in the Annex if possible. I am so excited about going. I hope to be there this summer to learn my way around and to check out some of the cool festivals-- if I can find some money.
  6. Oops. I thought I was posting to the University of Toronto thread on Meet and Greet. I can't figure out how to edit.

  8. Does anyone know if McGill's Linguistics program has made all their decisions. I can't wait to hear SOMETHING.
