  1. How Is The MBA at the University of Wisconsin-Whitwater
  2. GMAT stands for "Graduate Management Admissions Test," and is used in MBA admissions. Keep in mind that I am not AT ALL good in math and stats (and quantitative stuff in general)
  3. I want to be a business educator, particularly at the community college or university level. I do NOT want to become a "research prof," simply a lecturer or instructor, but on a full-time basis. Should I earn an MBA, an MEd in Business Education, an MA/MS in Career and Technical Education, an MEd in Higher/Adult Education, an EdD in Higher/Adult Education, or a combination of any of the above? Also, do you think that a higher degree in Adult Education (such as an EdD) will make up for my deficiencies in teaching experience AND in work experience (both usually required for business educators)?
  4. at Little Rock? Especially the Doctorate in Education?
  5. OK. Maybe you can help me (because I don't know what to do and my family is not helpful). I got into a master's in Journalism. Journalism is something that I wanted to do since I was a child, but there are two problems: 1) I am not sure if I am doing Journalism just because I am "holding onto" something from childhood or I really have a passion for it and, 2) THIS IS THE REAL MAJOR ISSUE - Journalism is not a stable career. It is very competitive. The program that I got into is not a "prestigious" program, either. I would hate to spend a hundred thousand on a master's in J, only to wind up an audio editor at some small-town radio station forever and earning $20 000 annually. I got into a master's in education to become a high school teacher. This is a stable career, but I would probably always wonder "what if" I did Journalism. I got into a second bachelor's program in English literature so that I could teach high school English. (My undergrad is not in English). Any advice? Please be thorough.
  6. I heard that I must let the grad program know by Apr. 15 (that is the deadline for all schools in the US, no?) However, one of my programs requires an interview on Apr. 26. So, the 15th cannot be the deadline? What are your thoughts?
  7. Two Questions: 1) I received an offer of admission by e-mail. She said that they will send me a formal letter in the mail. When will they do this by (when MUST they do this by)? 2) Similar question: By when MUST I Make a decision? Thanks
  8. I don't know if this is the correct section for this question, but here goes anyway - I am thinking about applying (as an international student) to Roosevelt University, in Chicago. A friend of mine told me that his friends (who live in Chicago) tell him that Roosevelt is not recognized outside of the state of Illinois (despite the fact that Roosevelt has U.S. Dept of Education approval). I think my friend's friends are wrong. What say you?
