So I heard that New Haven only has one grocery store. If I move here, I will probably have a car. What would my grocery options be then, especially in terms of Asian supermarkets?
Thanks Fuzzy, good to know I can continuing lacking parallel parking skills
@fosgfp, I'm probably going to live alone. Seems to be very doable even with the inflated apartment prices in Boston.
I really want to bring my car to Cambridge, but I'm concerned about parking. If you rent an apartment, does a parking spot cost extra? Is parking available for shopping centers, or is everything street parking?
I had a similar invite for a program to which I wasn't officially admitted yet. I specifically asked if there would be interviews and they said no. Contact your program and see what they say. I wasn't able to attend their research event but a month later they accepted me without a real interview, so I think it's a really good sign if they invite you to an event outside of the actual interview session.
Is it customary to bring a small powerpoint presentation of your research to an interview? I was thinking of printing one out so I wouldn't have to vaguely describe structures or experimental set ups. MIT BE is requesting that all interviewees make a research poster, so I was thinking, why not do a mini one for other schools.
Got my first admit to USC Pharmacology

LORs: PI, postdoc, and philosophy professor lol...I guess the last one is unorthodox but I don't think it has hurt me so far
