just hang in there. i applied to University of lausanne too and am yet to get a decision. you can email if you still don't get anything by first week in march. Pls let me know how it goes because am a bit expectant too.

ok, i applied for a masters scholarship for international students in Switzerland last December. the applications was by post. although the usual applications are online but the scholarship thing was by post because usual applications don't start till January. the international affairs unit of the university is in charge and they were really helpful. i sent a mail last month to ask about the decisions and the lady replied me "We have received your application form and you have to wait till the end of March for our decision". i also wrote to a professor a few days after i sent my application and he replied "That sounds good! I look forward to meeting you in next autumn" i know march is not far away but i was thinking of writing a secretary in the department to find out more. or maybe write one of the international affairs staff personally. i cant call because the rates are too expensive and by the way my french isn't good enough. i have a feeling decisions have been made but why can't they just tell me. its painful waiting and imagining a lot of MAYBE's. its hard to concentrate at work, everyday i check the university's website, Facebook students page......... Don't know what to do.

i am new here. this might not follow the trend here but i could use some encouragement. i applied to a swiss university. the applications for masters with full scholarship for international students to cover tuition and expenses began months before the usual application dates. the deadline was 3 weeks before the school online applications started. THE DEADLINE WAS MID DECEMBER.i applied by post and the school confirmed my applications. i was told the usual waiting period was 4-6 weeks. But waiting is so hard since this is my first time. i emailed the dept in charge of the scholarship thing and the lady told me the decisions would be ready in march. is this not too far? i am thinking of writing to the department i applied maybe they could know if i merit an admission or not. i am anxious cos its the only school i could afford to apply to. are swiss uni's usually like this? my friends who apply to uk or us schools get results within a month. Never knew waiting could be this hard.

i am new on this site. i applied for the master grant to study at university of lausanne.i applied for a master degree in actuarial science. does anyone have any idea of how long it might take. i have a very good GPA. it s the only school i applied to because it is the only one i could afford to. UK and america schools are too expensive. anyone in the same situation,pm me.
