  4. Slated to begin in mid-September and run through July. I haven't heard anything as to when the exact dates are quite yet.
  5. Thanks y'all! And to those of you in Colombia -- let's arrange some visits!!
  6. Alrighty y'all, I received some good news this morning... I'M GOING TO VENEZUELA!!!
  7. Yep. I guess I'll just continue to sit tight and anxiously await a decision.
  8. Emailed the program advisor for South America yesterday. She said decisions for Venezuela are still pending. I don't even know what to take from that!
  9. I know a lot of South America is still waiting -- I'm still waiting on Venezuela! And Shogun1, I have similar concerns. With all of the violence in Caracas, I'm really nervous as to what's going to happen with my program as well! As far as I know, they haven't pulled out the current Fulbrighters already there, so that's a good sign in my book.
  10. I'm right there with you. This is taking foreverrrrr.
  11. I'm hoping our decisions will come soon!
  12. Hey y'all-- Congrats to everyone that found out today! I applied to Venezuela as an ETA (I think I'm the only one on this forum), and I heard back from the South America program manager on a timeline for decisions. It may apply to broader South American applicants? Not sure, but I figured I'd put it out there as a PSA. Muendl, Susan 3:52 PM (12 minutes ago) to me Hi Braeden, Decisions may be available in mid- to late April. Best regards, Susan From: Braeden Mayer Sent: Saturday, March 29, 2014 4:53 PM To: Muendl, Susan Subject: Re: Fulbright ETA Pre-Departure Orientation Save-the-D
  13. I'm a finalist to an ETA Venezuela...now wondering if that's still gonna happen...
  14. Thank you! I'm really excited by the prosepect of spending time there. I've been interested in U.S.-Latin America politics for a while now, and I love studying U.S.-Cuba and U.S.-Venezuela relations the most. We'll have to see what happens! Colombia should be fascinating as well! If we both make it through, we'll have to arrange a visit!
