It's not as cold as it's reputation! Most of Michigan is actually kind of temperate

Has anyone else started looking into housing yet?

I hope so. I'm actually looking forward to finally having four seasons instead of being either hot or wet all the time. Have you visited MSU? I'm a little worried cos I accepted without going for their interview day -- did everything over skype.
I just started looking at craigslist and the MSU classifieds (http://www.allmsu.com/), but haven't got down to any serious house hunting yet. Any idea where's good to stay? Seems like most of the grad students live off-campus, but I'm not planning on getting a car, so I'm hoping there are good options either walking distance or on the bus route.
