Hi Guys!

I'm starting the process of applying to grad school this spring. I am currently deciding whether I want to go to an MFA directing program or do a performance studies MA/PhD because, while I ultimately want to direct theater, I find that research is sacrificed for "studio" work in MFA programs.

What are directing programs that offer extensive research opportunities or performance studies programs that allow you ample to time to create your own work? Location is not important to me.

Thanks so much!
