i dont know... i have berkeley, georgia tech and upenn left..

i hope at least i get into one of three

and yeah i was the one who posted the harvard rejection. i got it thru my mail, it was dated on 14th

Please help me

1. I applied to Ph.D. program at U of Michigan-Ann Arbor, UT-Austin and U of Wisconsin-Madison,
but I haven't heard back yet. Has anyone here applied to these universities?

2. I was admitted to UCSD and Purdue (in MSE Ph.D. program). Which one is better
regarding research activities and academic reputation?

No, I didn't. I was externally funded.

Austin's offers were sent awhile back.

I'm waiting on Berkeley, UPenn and Boston U too. It's too late to even hope, but I wish they would reply soon.

lkh5650, if you contact them, please let us also know what they say. UPenn replied to my mail 3 weeks ago saying they are finished with the first round and will follow up after those admits are confirmed. Berkeley did not reply to email since a week.

Sounds like the Colorado School of Mines has sent out some rejections today, but I haven't heard from them yet

No one yet has heard from either UPenn or Berkeley? I see some UPenn results posted, as well as BU, but I haven't got any word yet...

Alright, I've made some calls recently and here's what I've found out about various programs:

Berkeley: The person I talked to today said the department has just given her the go-ahead to start sending out emails. There are hundreds so they will be going out in the next couple days. Side note: this is 2012...shouldn't this process be automated by now?

Boston University: The person I got ahold of last week said that, due to a family emergency, the head of their admissions committe had to leave the country for an unspecified amount of time. The admissions decisions must wait for their return.

Colorado Mines: Their deadline for notifying accepted students is April 15. So, expect a decision by then.

i kinda dont believe what berkeley said cause she told me the same thing 2 weeks ago and still nothing... though dont care anymore, made my choice

Thanks schroedingersmeerkat, that was heaps useful. I heard from BU about admission, but they said financial aid decisions are yet to be made. A bit late for a school like Berkeley don't you think? I wish we had something to go on UPenn as well, they just send the same response everytime that they are still waiting on their first round admits to respond...

yeah i am not sure what is happening.
I will take Berkeley or upenn over UCSD in a heartbeat :(

did you guys see the survey posted about upenn? I hope that's not true :(
