Hello - I'm thinking of applying to grad school later this fall and I'd be interested in seeing writing samples from successful applicants, especially if you got into a prestigious university. I'm interested mostly in American history, though any kind of history paper would be fine. Any other field would do too, I suppose, but I'm better able to judge the quality of history papers. If anyone is concerned about sharing their work with a total stranger (and that's perfectly understandable), perhaps just share the first 3-5 pages or so? That's far too short a sample for graduate programs but might still give me the firmer impression I'm seeking. :)

If you understand French, I can send a part of my thesis in history that I took as writing sample. Let me know.

You can find great samples by searching. Search for images you will see the whole sample and also compare a few to make a good one of your one. Good luck.
