I am from Hong Kong. I am sophomore now.

Could anyone tell me what kind of recommendation is quite useful in application?
Maybe I have a chance to ask for a letter of recommendation from the vice president, or a Professor, of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is the best research academy of P.R. China. Is it useful? Of course, I have one summer research experience at CAS.
