ohsoquiet
Hello! I have applied for FQRSC and SSHRC and am playing the good old waiting game! In looking at other threads for SSHRC I have an idea of what a winning score out of 30 looks like but I was wondering if anyone out there knows of these numbers for FQRSCs rating scale? I am most concerned because I fear my undergraduate GPA might drag me down.... so in making up potential scores in my head (am I the only crazed person who does this?) I want to see how I would fare with a lower score in the academic dossier section. Thanks!
biisis
A very very late answer, but I just heard back from the fonds with good news for a 17.34/20 score. They break down the 20pt total into three subcategories: A ) Dossier Universitaire (6 pt) B ) Aptitude et experience en recherche (6 pt) and C ) Qualite et interet scientifique du projet de recherche (8 pts). So- basically your grades are only a small part of a larger picture, and aren't weighted as heavily as your CV/reference letters/program of study. I hope you also received some good news today! ohsoquiet
Got it last year with a 17.08/20 I too have a weak undergraduate GPA so I lost most of my points in that section but was able to make it up in the last 2 categories. Hope you got good news too!
