Is it easier to get into grad school during the spring semester?

In general, is it easier to get into grad programs during the off-semester (spring)? Does anybody know?

I don't know about masters programs, but all the PhD programs I have seen only take people for fall. It might be different for your field... Have you already looked this up?

From what I have seen, most phd programs only accept students for the fall semester since due to funding issues and also the way that classes are set up. Classes are done in sequences so you wouldnt necesarily be able to take the classes offered in teh spring since you had not taken the fall ones yet.

It might be. But then you're limited to the small number of schools that actually accept people for the spring semester.

Fewer programs offer a Spring admissions cycle but they are not totally rare. I would imagine competition would range from similar to more competitive as the number of seats may be available would more-than-likely be less.
