I graduated with a bachelor's degree, major in management information system, in Ethiopia from a not so much reputed private university. That would be back in 2006. But then, I worked very hard and make a very good career out of it working for an international research institutes and big projects funded by the Johns Hopkins University. Currently, I am working as a Database Administrator at the Capital Blue Cross.

Three weeks ago, I've applied for a Masters in Computer Science at the Penn State university Harrisburg and I found out my application has been turned down. I've submitted everything: 3 letter reference, official transcript from back home, personal statement, glowing letter of recommendation from past and current employer, Recent resume, as well as a couple of Microsoft certificates. Like a week ago, I've received an email from the University asking me if I've any more educational background so I think my application was denied because of my foreign degree.

What should I do to qualify for the program or proceed with my masters some place else? Shall I take the GRE? What about turning my foreign degree into the U.S equivalent? How do I do that? What is the best way to go about it?

It hurts!

Please fellows! Any help is appreciated.

Thx in advance!
