Ameri
Hi there, I want to apply for PhD in Civil Engineering for two Canadian universities. However, I really don't know which of these five universities are better to choose (although ranking is important, I need to be sure of gaining admission from at least one of these five!): 1) McGill University 2) McMaster University 3) University of Ottawa 4) Western University 5) Concordia University I would be kindly obliged if you could find my CV here: m-r-ameri.com/Media/uploads/2014/11/Mohammad-Reza-Ameri-CV.pdf And tell me which two of the above-mentioned are better and logical to choose. I do appreciate your assistance.P.S. TOEFL Score: 94 (R17, L26, S24, W27)
eragon
I would suggest you to look at other univs like UBC, Alberta, Toronto, Waterloo as well. Check if they have civil eng programs. I cannot comment on your application as I am from ECE but I can say you have a good chance of getting admission in one of these univs if you have strong LOR and SOP. Ameri
I am confused at why you can't apply to more than two programs? Actually my destination is the US, and I've applied for 8 American universities. However, I don't want to restrict myself to a certain country, and therefore, I want to apply to two Canadian universities so as to make sure if I couldn't gain admission from American Universities, or even if I couldn't receive the US visa, I have still another chance to pursue my PhD in another country So two is suficient for my case I think ...
