I have a great passion for NASA and ROBOTICS.....Its my dream to pursue a career at NASA.I am going to apply for Fall 2010 at some US university. I have not done any projects related to robotics. But I would like to do. If there is a will there will be a way. I have the will . Can you please show me the way to join NASA so that I could work in the field of robotics. I have a CGPA of 8.5(10). I have done a project related to RADAR tracking at ISRO, INDIA. I am going to write GRE and TOEFL in September 2009. Can you please list some universities where co-op is available to join NASA and that would accept my profile. I think Carnegie Mellon University would not accept a person with my profile, because it accepts only persons who have done many Robotics Projects. Which universities would accept my profile? ( they should also act as a gateway to join NASA). How much should my GRE and TOEFL score be? Please tell me if my dream is realistic? NattyDread Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 CU Boulder has an under-the-radar robotics/aerodynamic program. In fact there was been like 7 or so graduates from CU who joined NASA to venture into the "final frontier" (probably more who joined NASA but did not go to space). If you feel it is not high enough stature then it would be one place you can start looking to compare to other schools, but CU is a great school so I would contact them for further information. They have a robotics group that is usually well funded by NASA robotics programs. http://biorobots.cwru.edu/ Most of their work is in bio-robotics. I did my M.S. there in the E.E. department, but was not in robotics ( I did MEMS research). The group was housed down the hall and I know a couple of those guys ended up working at NASA. Good luck! ShortLong Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 It is really hard to work in the Aerospace industry in the US without being a US citizen. Even companies like SpaceX work on federally funded projects and lot of the industry falls under ITAR, which prevents certain information from being shared with non citizens.
