Hello,

I guess this FAQ will answer your question, I took it from KAUST website.

"May I apply before receiving my official test scores (i.e. TOEFL/IELTS and GRE scores)?

Those applicants who are unable to produce a English language proficiency test score or the optional GRE score by the deadline may still apply. However, you must submit your scores or upcoming test date including the confirmation/registration code to complete your application and enable it to move forward to the faculty review committee. (KAUST Admissions ETS TOEFL code 4107). (KAUST Admissions ETS GRE code 4139)."

You may explain your situation to KAUST admission team, I think it will be OK.

I completed the application on 21th December 2014, still waiting for the interview as well. The last time I emailed the admission, they said that a decision has not yet been reached, and they couldn't tell the specific date. According to a student at KAUST, the interview will be hold on February/March/April. Are you applying for master program?

Hi Ash92

I submitted my application on Oct 1st 2014 but I was lacking an official certificate that was submitted in Dec 7th 2014. My VIP page is showing Registered/waitlisted.

Any body else??!

Hi, annona.

When I first submitted my application on December 18th 2014, I was lacking an official certificate that shows the completion of my degree, too (I only uploaded the transcript), but, two days later, I got an e-mail from KAUST Admission, saying that I was lacking that official certificate, and I should attach it on the e-mail they sent to me. It's solved. :)

You better contact the admission.

I'm applying to a masters program at kaust. I had the first interview with the academic staff. I was told that there will be a second interview with the admissions office after that. But so far, I haven't heard anything from the university. Will be emailing them to check.

My VIP page still shows registered/wait listed so I don't think you have to worry about that? Just check your emails regularly for emails from the uni.

Annona- thank you. Yes I'm applying for Fall 2015. The interview was through Skype with one of the professors. Basically he asked things like which professor/area I was interested to work with and if there are any specific projects that I would like to work on. He also asked more details about my previous study. Mostly things like my background and experience and plans for what I want to do after the masters program.

@rudychin

How was the personal interview? If you don't mind sharing, what sort of questions that they asked, and how many interviewers were there? Also all the best for your application!

Perosonal interview was fine, but a little short; it's about 10 minutes through Skype. Several questions such as why choose KAUST and why would they choose me.

He had mentioned that my English is very strong and hope to see me at Saudi Arabia.

I got first email on Jan. 25, and the second on Feb. 4.

Hope these help. Good luck for all of you.

I got a reply from the admissions office saying that the applications are still under review.

Also, has anyone seen the kaust homepage? It says that 'Applications for Fall 2015 and currently being reviewed and will be accepted through to Feb 14th'. Does that mean that we will know our results by 14 Feb? I'm starting to feel really nervous now.

Dear Hazzy don't be nervous. It usually takes at least two months from the first application deadline for universities to make a decision. At KAUST, there is no specific deadline for admission decision however, at a particular date (which actually is a deadline for KAUST admission committee) the admissions office will stop reviewing application for upcoming semester and would send rejection emails to all others. Meanwhile, they will send interview invites, conduct interviews, make final decisions and communicate those decisions to relevant department / people and the students, all on rolling basis. So, if you hear that someone is interviewed or has been invited for one or have been offered an admission, you should not be nervous about that. KAUST will keep interviewing during Feb and March and decisions can be communicated as late as middle of May.

Hope this alleviates...
