Did anyone receive an email and any updates after that? Is this interview a sign that you're almost accepted? Lets chat... ken94 Posted March 5, 2015 Share Posted March 5, 2015 Applied to MS in chemical engineering at columbia, and had an skype interview on this Monday. It was just a casual interview. I asked the representative during the interview whether being interviewed means a positive sign of admission, and his answer was not so much. Guess the interview is just for international applicants (even with BS degree within the U.S., which is my case). I submitted my application on Jan 6th, 2015, but my application turned into complete on Feb 8th, 2015, since I just got my new GRE score at that day. I realized that my application was reviewed just 3 days ago, because I could still edit my application last Sunday. While starting from this Monday, I can no longer edited my application online, which means my application has been reviewed. For sure I havent received any email for interview so far. I dont know what does it mean that my application was reviewed from such a late date. I submitted my application in December so I guess that makes me an early applicant. Also, yes, I am too an international student. I read on other forums that people who get rejected dont even get interview invites, that is why I assumed that this was more of a formality or just to make sure that the applicant is not crazy or anything. Well, this thread is meant to be for the ones who applied to the Master of Management Science and Engineering... so I cant tell you much about your situation, other than it looks like you're still gonna have to wait. Hi elt93 I dont think you need to assume a rejection at this point because of other's interviews. As I explained above, my application was just reviewed 3 days ago, so there must be another wave of application reviews ongoing. I suppose that more interviews will be offered before Mar 20th. But if your application is being reviewed, you wont be able to update any information in your application any more. (e.g. you wont be able to upload a new version of ps, since the upload botton for ps is removed.) Actually it takes several weeks for my application to be reviewed. Does it imply rejection? Also I submitted my application at Jan 29th. Don't know if that makes any difference for interview priority.
