TheChai Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Hi everyone, It's entering the last few weeks before the April 15 decision date... I suspect that I'm either on the waitlists at a couple schools, or silently rejected and it's just a matter of time for me to get the rejection letter. I was thinking maybe contacting the admission office to ask what my status is but I'm scared. How did you guys learn whether you're not on the waitlist or not? After having been led to believe I was accepted while they worked out the details, they responded to my email of enquiry with a 'no, you're low on the waitlist and most likely not getting in' Sucks how you have to push people to give you decisions they've already made. Right after that I got an email from my POI notifying me that competition for internationals is tight and that I am on the waitlist. I imagine I won't get the rejection until the bitter end. What I would not give for the last school I have not heard from yet to offer me acceptance! I emailed another program around the same time about my application status only to be informed that the program was full and they weren't accepting any candidates that year . Yes, the one school who waitlisted me did so quite a looooong while ago, so I can imagine I probably got rejected since I asked. I guess they figure that this close to the end, there is no point in sending out single rejections. I could ask again, but I figure the answer will come around the 15th on its own.
