Anyone ever apply to work at Fermilab?

Hey all,

 

So, I recently applied for a summer technician (internship-ish) position at Fermilab, and am not getting feedback about my application (outside of an automated response). I was extremely qualified for the job, so it makes me think that they're just a bit slow on the decision process. Has anyone else ever applied for a position there?

 

It's the epitome of a "dream-job" situation, so it would be a shame to miss out on it due to odd complications! In the past, I have applied for more formal internship/fellowship programs at government laboratories, which understandably took ages to process, but this is the first time that I've gone the "direct" route.
