Applying to Oxford

Hi everyone,

 

I don't if this question belongs here or not.

 

I'm contemplating on applying to the University of Oxford, specifically, either the Egyptology or Islamic studies/history MPhil courses. I will graduate with a degree in history(world concentration) next spring. I've been looking around their site for weeks now and cannot make up my mind, since I have a number of concerns. The biggest concern is, of course, funding and the exchange rate. I know there is funding offered in the way of loans, since I don't have huge debt, getting additional loans won't be an issue for me. My other concerns are living arrangements and expenses; do all graduate students receive housing? Is their a waitlist? The site was not clear, it did state that some houses offer their students housing and that there are apartments, etc available.  I'm from the USA, btw.
