UChicago vs Boston College for Social Work

Hi all, I have been accepted to both programs which is exciting yet nerve wrecking at the same time :/ I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on both programs, the area of the city, living etc. They both have offered me similar scholarships but Chicago tuition is a bit more. Also, how much weight should one put on rankings? Are they really that important? thanks!

Boston College was my first choice and I'll actually be attending. I picked the program due to being able to really specify your education (want to do school and trauma) and they had a school social work license option (my main goal). plus ive always wanted to live in a city/upnorth

Both programs are top 10 I'm pretty sure but I've heard a lot of people on these forums say ranking doesnt matter that much in social work. But hey both are top 10's

both schools are expensive that's for sure. The scholarship/cost will depend on what the actual difference in cost is between the schools. if Chicago offered you  a higher scholarship but the difference in cost is A LOT compared to BC it wont matter but if the costs are similar it shouldnt matter as much.

I was also accepted to UC,  I am still tying to make a decision but it's so tough!!! The only thing thats keeping me from accepting chicago's offer is the tuition as as well!

And like the person above me stated I've also read ranking doesn't matter for social work, but I think that you should be excited/honored that one of the top schools accepted you, their acceptance alone means you are very well qualified and show an aptitude for sucesss!!!

Best wishes !!
