GRE scores

Hey guys! I am applying in the fall and have some concerns regarding my GRE scores. I took it a few months back and scored 158q 158v 5.5aw. I have a 3.79 GPA studying Economics and Spanish. I have 3+ years relevant internships and volunteering.

Here are the schools I am considering: SAIS, LSE, SOAS, IHEID, Georgetown, GWU, Brandeis. I am hesitant about retaking the test because of the $$ and I am not sure my scores would increase by much...

Please any advice/suggestions would help!

Thank you!!!  :D

I think you worry too much, your scores are solid. SOAS, LSE and IHEID don't require GRE with exception of Economics. Maybe it is conducive to have 160 for the more quantitative and rigorous schools (SAIS and Georgetown). But I have seen on this forum admitted applicants with similar GRE scores and lower GPA. Some seasoned posters think that a higher GRE would enhance your odds for scholarships.

Good luck

As CakeTea mentioned, if you need financial aid, you might want to consider retaking the test. A 160 or above in both categories will put you in a much better position. The cost of retaking is negligible if it helps you get a great aid package.

Thanks for the input aidyinamman. I am going to study and see if my scores improve. If so, I will retake; if not, I will just have to settle with my current scores! :)
