I have been offered two different types, a Direct Unsubsidized Loan and a Direct Graduate PLUS loan. Does anybody have any insight as to the differences between the loans? or which loan I should exhaust first? Any information would be so helpful!! Thanks!! Direct PLUS loans have a higher interest rate and much higher fees. See here: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/types/loans/interest-rates Given this, you should exhaust your Direct Unsubsidized loan amount first before taking out a Graduate PLUS loan.
