playfire Posted February 8, 2017 Share Posted February 8, 2017 I believe the CMS interview/visit day is less of a weedout and more of a recruitment weekend. If you're not strongly fitted with one professor, they have to make sure you can find another PI if necessary. If you're invited, then that's a very good sign. Do the normal research prep and know your general direction well. I would expect some casual conversation with a few different professors, but no technical grilling.
