Undergrad: Applied Physics, Caltech 2009 GRE: 800 Quant/ 640 Verbal / 5 Writing Experience: 3+ years lab research in a "big name" (lol) lab, plus taking this year off to work in greentech startup. Applications/ results: Harvard: Chemical Physics, waiting.... MIT: Materials, waiting.... Northwestern: Materials, accepted UC Berkeley: Applied Science and Technology, waiting.... Stanford: Materials, rejected UC Santa Barbara: Materials, accepted UC San Diego: Materials, waiting.... By the way, if anyone living in Bay Area/ Norcal is also going to the Materials visit weekend at UCSB March 4-7, it seems quite unfortunate that flights are far too expensive, and we only get $100 reimbursement. I have a car and will most likely drive, if anyone wants to carpool, we could probably bring down gas money quite a bit. Send me a note!
