Onsemiro
I am applying to Statistics PhD programs to start in Fall 2018 after getting a MS in Statistics from an unranked regional school. I got 150 (47%) for Verbal, 168 (95%) for Quantitative, and 3.5 (42%) for AWA from general GRE when I was applying 2 years ago. I am not sure if 150 on verbal would raise any red flag on my application. I am hoping 168 on quantitative would kind of 'cancel out' my low verbal and writing scores. Any insights or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
jswizzle48
Hey Onsemiro, If you didn't put in studying time, definitely re-take it. If you put in a lot and you don't see copious amounts of time in the future to study, don't re-take it. Your Q score is good: I think a lot programs have the cut off around 150 for Verbal. Onsemiro
Thanks for the reply, jswizzle48. I must admit that I could have spent more time studying for the verbal section. Hopefully I will get a better verbal score after some serious studying. jswizzle48

JohnKim
Hi Onsemiro, I am not sure if this is late, but I just want to suggest this. I found this guide in Quora, so i think it's good to post it here as well.
Onsemiro
Thanks for the resources JohnKim. I took the exam today and got 154 (65%) on verbal and 169 (96%) on quantitative in case any one is interested. I am satisfied with my scores.
