Hiiiii Im in my last year at Fordham and will be graduating in 2015 with my MSW. I'm interested in applying for my PHD in SW at only one school and thats Columbia . Im not interested in teaching at all. Mostly interested in policy/admin . I too would like to hear from PHD hopefuls

I'm starting Fordham in late August . I will be taking 17 credit hours 5 of which will b field placement which will begin September 9. I'm so excited . My classes will be Human Behavior, Human Rights n Social Justice, generalist social work dealing with individuals families n groups. Plus a integrative seminar which meets 10 times during the academic year with your advisor and students with the purpose of assisting the student in developing a professional identity as a social worker. I'm super excited and looking forward to this journey. I have worked for 7.5 years in the sw field as a case manager in the Bronx and Harlem areas working with different populations such as homeless individuals, people living with HIV, domestic violence and mental illness. Fordham has invited us to a welcoming reception for the MSW students June 6 . I'm excited I wish us nothing but the best experience on this amazing field

Hey, I will be 40 years old this coming June. I will be attending Fordham . I have right years of social service experience working with many different populations in the Bronx and Harlem. I was laid off from my last social service job on July. The timing is perfect and I will be attending full time . Thankfully my husband has a great job and will be holding down the finances . Don't worry about age. My motto is with age comes experience. I have plenty of real life social work experience ))). Just knock it out and make a difference to the cause
