  1. Mine was first initial, middle initial, last name - might be the standard?
  2. What program are you applying to at UCI? The Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program, for example, only has one interview weekend.
  3. Hi all. I'll be in the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program. Planning on campus housing as well!
  4. I just received an invitation to interview at Temple for neuroscience, but I've already more or less decided where I'll be attending. Frankly I assumed Temple rejected me because I hadn't heart anything from them. I expressed a lot of interest in a particular PI before applying and even corresponded with her over email, but I can't afford to fly to Philadelphia on two weeks notice. What's the best way to politely decline the invitation?
  5. I really think it depends. I applied to one program and started seeing interview invitations on the results page the beginning of January and acceptances started showing in February. Since I hadn't heard anything, I assumed I was rejected, but received an interview invitation the last day of February to visit the last weekend in March. So, it is entirely possible that programs are still accepting.
  6. I got accepted into a program a few weeks ago and made the decision to NOT attend. However, they don't have a SIR to fill out, and only provided an email address. Of course, in providing the email address they said something to the effect of, "Confirm your acceptance of the admission offer by emailing email@school.edu with your name and the program." Can I deny the admissions offer to this email address or should I keep waiting for them to send info about a SIR?
