  2. Awww I'm so happy to be a part of that congrats and good luck in making your decision!
  3. Hello all, This doesn't sound like the most popular program on here, but out of curiosity did anyone else apply?
  4. I think it's here: https://apply.sipa.columbia.edu/apply/ then again...I haven't heard anything so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place lol
  5. Has anyone not heard anything yet? Should I be worried? I applied for the MPA-DP program if that makes a difference...
  6. I am so jealous of your life right now. haha
  7. who is the person who got the nepal Fulbright???? sorry. Freaking out here. Just didn't see it coming...Whoever you are though CONGRATULATIONSSSSS
  8. hahahahahaha sorry guys. The copy paste failed on me and I didn't get the chance to double check. Here's the real email: Hi there, You should feel like the lucky winner today! I actually have an answer…sort of! I just sent an email to State Department this morning asking permission to release the notification letters for Nepal. Fingers crossed we can send your letters out to you this week….if not, it will be very soon. Thanks for checking in! Cara
  9. For the Nepal Kids out there. I just got this email from Cara: I feel a little nauseous.
  10. I honestly have no idea. But I'm totally with you on the anthropology thing. Way too broad. Plus the way I was looking at it, it seemed more human geography than anything else. Bah. Who knows. My Nepali's alright. I've been taking lessons for awhile. Last year I was decent, had to be for my other research project. Though at the time I was also learning Tibetan which just turned out to be impossible. So really compared to my Tibetan skills, Nepali definitely wins hahaha. How about you? I'm very seriously contemplating living in Boudha again...even though it's kinda far from where my project would take place. I just loved that stupa! it was so lovely.
  11. Hey! I actually applied through my school. I proposed to study the internal migration of young women carpet weavers. I had kind of a difficult time pinning down my field, but I think I chose population studies? Your project sounds awesome! I lived in an apartment for a bit in Boudha last year. By far the most amazing experience ever. Here's hoping to both getting it and meeting in person yeah? haha.
  12. Finalist for a Research Fulbright to Nepal here! I'm sooo excited/terrified. But yeah I think getting a more formal list going would be awesome.
