About Me

I am an older, non-traditional student, father of 6 and 5-year old boys, who graduated from a large public university in New York City. I am now a second-year PhD student at Yale University. Broadly speaking, my field is early American history, primarily the political, cultural, and intellectual history of the late colonial and revolutionary periods.

Following my application season, I compiled everything I'd learned about the process (aimed specifically at History applicants but useful throughout the Humanities) both from GradCafe and other sources into a timeline and guide that can be found here.
