  1. Will be attending the University of Iowa for the English PhD (MA along the way), full-funded all six years! Grateful for the support and helpful insight on this forum. I hope everyone has found good news themselves.

  3. Turned down Purdue's offer for MA/PHD, full-funding. I really hope someone here gets it!
  4. I turned down many offers. They are all crossed out below in the signature. I will also be turning down Tulsa, and potentially Purdue and Kentucky, soon! I hope these help somebody get into their programs with funding!
  5. Hi all, I was recently accepted to the University of Oregon's PhD program in American/English literature! Anybody else accepted to either the MA and PhD programs in American/English literature at Oregon (Or the rhetoric people too )? I am strongly considering this program/university/city for my graduate studies and actually just got back from a campus visit out there in Eugene, OR. I got to meet with faculty, graduate students, and see the city/university, including a trip to the Pacific coast and the surrounding natural environment (by the way, gorgeous area). Please let me know if you are thinking about attending or were accepted and either shoot me a message on the board or a PM. I really am set on this program and would love to connect with any of the cohort for this year! Go ducks!
  6. Hi all, I was recently accepted to the University of Iowa's PhD program. However, I received no word on funding in the "snail" mail letter I received from the graduate school. Anybody else receive good news? How did you hear about funding? How much? Also, anyone else excited for the acceptance or possibly considering going to Iowa?
  7. Got Accepted to University of Iowa's PhD program! Excited and grateful. However, I got the acceptance through the hard copy mail from the graduate school, but with no attached information on funding. Is there anyone else who got accepted to Iowa and found out about funding? How? How much? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hope more good news is coming to everybody who applied this season.
  8. Anybody else waiting back for Iowa? I've seen a few acceptances and a few rejections, but I have no news. I even checked my online status. Any idea what's going on?
  9. Accepted to U of Tennessee MA! Probably turning it down. Either way still cool! Hope others are hearing good news all around????!
  10. Accepted to University of Oregon's MA/PhD program! Got the phone call today. Unexpected. Anyone else thinking about Oregon?!
  11. Thank you Angela_Kaye13! I realize I am fortunate to get the opportunities I have had so far and by no means am I wallowing in despair about any of the offers. But thanks for the encouragement and kind words.
  12. Accepted to Kentucky MA I think this is the fourth school in a row I applied to the PhD, and got accepted instead to the MA. But still very grateful for all the opportunities that have come so far...Hope everyone else is experiencing some joy and success throughout this whole crazy process!
  13. Applied to Boston College Ph.D. program. Accepted to M.A. instead! Totally thought I was outright rejected, but happy news regardless!
