  1. Congratulations Essjo! Hope you get good financial aid
  2. Same. They requested some information from me on the score. Awaiting reply. This wait is killing!
  3. I believe it wouldn't be long now. I heard the admission committee is going to make decisions on admits now. Best of Luck to everyone!
  4. For those wanting to follow the blog: http://hksadmissionblog.tumblr.com
  5. I think I'll be able to contribute to those who need support in Quant (I'm an Engineer with good grasp in Quantitative Analysis in my PG). I'm miserably poor in Reading comprehension and AWA. Anyone willing to spend sometime in it with me?
  6. Hey Anushka! Thanks for the info. Appreciated. I have a PG and more than discipline I prioritize based on the University which will give me more exposure to constructivist approach rather than academic learning. So might go for a JD instead of core MBA course. Best of luck for your applications
  7. I was recently going through the courses accepting GRE score and stumbled upon this : http://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/about/mba/programs/ Is there any one who has made to an MBA degree programme through GRE score? Or the GMAT is still preferred over GRE? I see a lot of Ivy league universities in the list. Not sure of their acceptance rate for GRE score holders. Anyone who can share their experiences?
  8. I find that most of the elite institutions have a strong alumni network. I have experienced in my UG the difference in the attitude and strength of the alumni network. Definitely the ones with a repute live up to their names. Would like to hear from some alumni's regarding this as most of us would be weighing in this as a factor while applying.
  9. Namaste, from India! Good to see the Fall 2016 aspirants coming together. What are your goals? Short term: Getting best in the industry exposure to development practices (mainly quantitative research) across the globe by associating with International NPOs. While experimenting with subjects like 'Religion' and 'Development' to add some taste in life. Long term: Working with organizations like UN, World Bank for tackling challenges in developing and 3rd world countries. Some time in the future: Working on a community farm where we grow our food while the birds sing merry and deers hop after coming from delivering a guest lecture at the Ivy league university. Phew! What programs best fit your passions / desires / plans and why? MPA / MPP is what I feel will give me an opportunity to build an educational background and networking opportunity to work out what I learn. More focussed on praxis than theoretical aspects of development. Hoping to take up something related to study of religion and theology. What have you done up to this point to narrow down your choices? Document: Started noting the +ves and -ves on the forum about courses and colleges. Starting with an Excel sheet marking scores-universities admitted and scholarships. Networking: Prodding alumni and students of the universities in target. Looking forward to next few months of sharing information, concerns and results Cheers!
