  1. Remember, the deposit to hold your spot is due on April 15th!
  2. @Inka dreams Here are some links to help you with housing. Some places offer furnished apartments and roommate matching. I just signed my lease with Grandmarc (the first link) since it's the closest, and seems to be the cheapest of all options I was looking at. Near West Bank (Near Carlson): http://go4studenthousing.com/ http://liveat7west.com/ Near East Bank: http://www.metroparkeast.com/ http://stadiumviewapts.info/ http://www.stadiumvillageflats.com/ In terms of budgeting, it's hard to say. If it's any consolation, there's so sales tax on clothing or unprepared foods (groceries) in Minnesota. Hope this helps!
  3. @Inka dreams Adding to what limmerz has posted, Twin Cities has two campuses: one in Minneapolis and one in St. Paul. The Minneapolis campus is broken down into the East Bank and West Bank. Carlson School of Management (where the majority of our classes will be held) is located in the West Bank. @limmerz Stacy actually mentioned that the school was going to start a Facebook group for us in the following weeks. We should receive an email for that soon, look out of it!
  4. @Inka dreams There were around 23 of us I believe at Admitted Students Day (with 2-3 people still deciding between schools). Everyone seemed to be really excited about the program, and more so after we all were able to speak with the faculty and the current students. @limmerz I'll definitely be attending orientation; I'll probably head over there earlier to get myself better acquainted with the area and spend quite some time at the GBCC. I'm probably gonna go with Grandmarc (it's only a 3 minute walk to Carlson), but I'm still looking around to see what's out there. It's definitely a nerve-wracking process!
  5. @Inka dreams I attended and it was great! We were able to get better acquainted with the program, tour the building, speak with faculty, alumni, and current students, etc. It was EXTREMELY helpful and has made me positive that I made the right decision in deciding to attend in the fall. They actually recorded most of it and they should upload it soon, so look out for that! @Easy-joy The link Inka dreams posted is more or less a decent measure of tuition, but those are for the 2013-14 school year. Final tuition costs will be released in July and are expected to raise around 3%.
  6. @Inka dreams I received my fellowship offer via email from the director shortly after I was accepted. Maybe wait a couple of days and see if you'll get an email? And thank you! I'm excited to be joining Minnesota as well!
  7. @Inka dreams, Congrats on your acceptance to Minnesota! I can see that you've also been accepted into Cornell, nice! Do you have any idea which school you want to attend? March 29th is Admitted Student's Day: it's for incoming students to get a tour of the school, speak with current students, alumni, faculty, and the HRIR staff, and a hear little bit about life as an HRIR student at Carlson.
  8. Good to hear! I'm sure you'll get an opportunity to speak with the staff. I think the thing I'm most worried about right now is finding housing. Probably a bit premature for me to be so antsy, but we'll see...
  9. I'm pretty set on Carlson. They've given me the most generous aid package and the program seems to be a good fit for me. I'm really just using this opportunity to visit the campus and talk to the staff. Are you set on Carlson? Or are you considering other options?
  10. Aww, that's too bad! Would you be flying international or domestic? I was hoping I'd find someone here who'd go as well.
  11. Is anyone going to attend U of M Carlson School of Management's Admitted Students Day on March 29th?
  12. @Inka dreams If you don't mind my asking, what are your stats?
  13. @Easy-joy I'm still waiting on UIUC, but I'm pretty set on MN. @Inka dreams I got a phone call on Feb 7th letting me know I was accepted. If I recall, they said they would let applicants know end-of-February to beginning-of-March, so don't fret!
  14. Hi Easy-joy! Good to hear someone else who is in my program! Will you be attending in the fall or are you considering other options?
  15. Hey there! I was admitted to U of M Twin Cities (Carlson School of Management) and will be attending this fall! Are there any others that have been admitted and are planning on attending?
