Hi I know little about LSU. For CSM, it has a great petroleum engineering. Although the department is relatively small to UT-Austin and TAMU, it has great research and strong industry network. For the reservoir engineering area, CSM has taken in several new faculties the area, such as flow through porous media and reservoir simulation, since 2010. They also have several competitive consortium. I think they will probably take about 30 to 40 graduate students every year. For now, I think the department has made the decisions, and may has sent out all the results already. If you didn't hear anything, you can email or call the department. Thanks
