  1. Nothing like that, but I did get told they're going to share a video of the admitted students day sometime next week. Not sure what that'll include, but useful for those who can't make it (like me).
  2. Got a letter today from the program director (Bruce Hoffman) with details of a scholarship funding, going to accept the offer soon I think. Congratulations to everyone else accepted.
  3. My decision was posted about half an hour ago, got in with $25k scholarship in the first year
  4. No funding here, guess that makes the decision easier!
  5. Just got notification of financial aid for MAIR, $32,000 tuition scholarship and a $13,000 stipend for a 20 hour a week assistantship. Absolutely thrilled but makes my decision a lot harder!
  6. Last year it looks like it came out the day after, so hoping today or tomorrow?
  7. I am not that keen on doing a phd in all honesty and want to go into work afterwards, which seems to be the opposite of most Chicago applicants on here. Would love to work in the US but seems like a near impossibility with visa issues (until my brother who's an American citizen by birth turns 21) but Chicago probably holds more weight in the long term. Also the fact I can do 9 interesting modules at Chicago compared to less at LSE is appealing, I'm just not sure how much depth they can go when LSE does half as many in the same amount of time. Does anyone know anything about job prospects after graduating from Chicago? I know there are stats on the website but they aren't very specific and just say that not everyone gets a phd. I feel it's reputation is fairly broad based, which might be useful in the private sector, but I was looking more toward government/public sector work rather than going into something purely to pay off loans (which I probably would if I went to a DC policy based program)
  8. Nothing on my portal yet, can't wait to finally hear back from everywhere!
  9. I have almost the same decision to make (although LSE is just the MSc IR, not research). Are you American or international? I'm from London myself, so just in terms of 'experience' I was thinking Chicago as it is something a bit different but worried that it is not as well known in the UK.
  10. Same. Congrats to all those posting on the results page!
  11. I don't think there's been more than ten minutes I haven't grabbed my iphone and refreshed my emails while at work. Even though I know it's like 3am US time lol
  12. Got my official acceptance letter today after an email a couple weeks ago, nice feeling but still holding my breath on the funding which might hold me back! Good job to everyone else too
