  1. I am going to UCSB in the fall to get my Master's in applied statistics, but I want to know what I should do to better my chances of employ ability. Right now I am in an intensive internship that deals with statistics. I also understand that maintaining high grades are a must as well as having a solid programming core. But with this economy being so tough and undertaking quite a bit of debt I do not want to be left unemployed. These next two years I want to do everything I can to be more marketable. What other things should I do to impress employers in general?(i'm still deciding on a field to narrow down on but most likely i'll end up going somewhere in the financial sector).
  2. I am an incoming graduate student at UC Santa Barbara. I do not smoke or drink . I am clean, outgoing, and easy to get along with. I am looking for other Indian roommate(s) who don't smoke or drink either. You can email me at crankshaft3161@yahoo.com . Thanks.
  3. Yes I am sure you will be fine since most schools do give grace days. Plus it takes time to process your application as well so im sure they should accept it.
  4. I applied to schools such as San Jose State, San diego state, UCLA, UCSB, Uc Riverside, and Uc Davis. I know for sure I would not get into the top ivy leagues so I thought it would be practical to apply to these schools. Now I have a 3.45 overall gpa, BA in mathematics, gre revised scores are 166 quant and 154 verbal. All my letter of recommendations are pretty strong as well. I have some research experience in mathematics but that is still ongoing. Now I was wondering what are my chances getting into these schools? I really would want to get into san jose state.
  5. Thanks and yeah I hope that despite my mistake with the score recipients that everything does not get delayed further.
  6. I took the revised gre on January 2 and now that I try to look up my score recipients its blank. When I had taken the test I had registered for once school to send my scores to which was Uc. Davis but unfortunately im not sure what happened I click on something and I could not register for the rest of my score recipients. So I told the testing center and they made me fill out a form to send my scores to three other schools. The testing center said they would mail the form to Ets immediately and they should receive the form like the next day ( The testing center said it should work). I even called Ets up on 1/4 and they said they cannot do anything ( like enter the score receipients manually from there) till they receive the form. I was wondering how long I should wait and is it normal for the score recipients to not show up not even uc davis ?
