  1. You can look up average salaries for specific positions (or companies) on glassdoor.com. You can also filter by region, which will be helpful since it varies hugely based on where your job is.
  2. I'd guess 10 business days - that makes an even two weeks
  3. Do professors usually respond to your post-interview thank you emails? The majority of mine don't and I'm not sure if it's because they're busy or if it has negative implications...
  4. Right there with ya. It's so hard to wait it out... I'm going to try to learn programming as a distraction from constantly refreshing the forum and results page haha.
  5. Do it! As long as you're not calling/emailing every half hour I think it's hard to be pushy. Definitely reach out to the program coordinator, the people you interviewed with, and any POIs to reaffirm your interest in (and sincere enthusiasm) for the program. One of the scientists at the company I currently work for got into grad school this way - I know that's just anecdotal, but there's no harm in trying. And sending the updated transcript is a good idea too.
  6. ccarcharias, who emailed you about the UCSF admission? Was it the program director or a professor? Thanks!
  7. Does anyone know whether Stanford sends out interviews all in one go, or whether they send them individually like some other schools?
  8. That makes sense to me. Also I called the Biosciences general office; the individual tracks may do things differently - but it makes way more sense to send interviews via email for faster RSVPs etc
  9. Okay so I just called the Stanford biosciences office and was told that everyone will get letters (whether you received an interview or not) and that the letters should be expected to arrive either Friday or next Monday. Also called the cancer bio dept but they didn't pick up.
