I will be attending Duke this Fall. Anyone knows good places to rent apartment at walking distance to Duke West Campus? Is it safe living around Duke? i heard it is a bit shady? Thanks

I have been admitted to several programs for PhD in chemistry but i narrowed down my choices to Duke, McGill and UBC. I got funding from all of those schools and each has professors who match my interest about organic chemistry/ catalysis . I would like to work in industry after graduation. Many people suggested me to go for Duke because of its brand name. What would you guys choose if you were me? I am so confused...

I applied for org chem and im international student. My gpa is 3.9/4.3 .major gpa 4.2/4.3 at top uni outside usa..1 year of research exp. Hope u can get some good news

I recently was admitted to duke chem phd. I can see many young new professors in the department, so iam not so sure abt how good they are. Duke is a great university but could i ask.u guys how good duke chemistry is? Thanks.
