  1. I would definitely prepare for and write the GRE. Honestly I would start applying now because you never know exactly what the programs are looking for. I had zero volunteer experience and got into Dal and was very surprised! No one can give you the magic formula so start applying, studying for GRE and aim for A's!
  2. Keep in mind that Dalhousie was closed yesterday and today so this might delay results being sent to people!
  3. I also don't believe SLPs work night shifts. I'm doing a placement right now in dysphagia/swallowing at a hospital, which is the only area I might assume an SLP would work nights, and she works Monday to Friday 7:30-3:30. There might be some select hospitals that do but I think that would be few and far between.
  4. This is actually not true about Dal. I am in the program right now and in our class of 36, there are at most 5 people from Dal! So don't be discouraged by this rumour!
  5. Hey! Just to add on to what DeafAudi said, RBC does now consider SLP as a professional program so you can get a much higher line of credit through them than the regular student line of credit! I'm not sure about the other banks but definitely something to keep in mind if you end up deciding to go the Australian route'
  6. Hi, I got into Dal last year. We were told they had a record number of applicants last year, over 300 people. And there's 35 in our class: 24 speech and 11 audio. Out of those numbers I'm not sure what the proportion of people who applied were audio vs speech though.
