  1. Yes, it's the total number of applicants. As far as I know, they don't report exactly how many people are selected as finalists. I'm also not sure why they say they were last updated in February, but I was informed of my grant in April and I don't think the statistics were updated before that, so I wouldn't bet on them being updated before you get a final decision. But I could be misremembering. They are also wrong for my host country so they're not entirely reliable either!
  2. Nope, they didn't. I ended up using "Fulbright Scholarship," but my school calls them Fulbright Grants sometimes. I just like the term Scholarship better. In the email, they use the term "Fulbright Award," which I didn't like as much, and they also refer to it as a scholarship. I think anything is probably fine, because all of those terms pretty accurately describe it, you know? I basically just ended up going with the one that sounded the best in context. However, I will probably write "Fulbright Scholar" on my resume (not 100% sure how I'll do that though).
  3. Thanks so much! I have never been but I hear such great things and I am sure I will love it! On an unrelated note: if I am writing that I received the Fulbright, is it a 'Fulbright Grant' or 'Fulbright Scholarship'? Or should I say 'selected as a Fulbright Scholar'? (It's for my 'accomplishments' for graduation.) Thanks!
  4. Found out I am accepted to Denmark! I'm still in shock. Sweden, hopefully you're soon!
  5. I'm hoping that the rest of Scandinavia all finds out soon! (I applied to Denmark, but I'm the only one on this forum!) I really believed we would've found out by now.
  6. Can't believe we're still waiting. Especially those of us still waiting for Europe. Ugh. Luckily I have committed to my Master's program in Denmark and received a scholarship, but I can't finalize all of my plans or work on getting my visa until I know if I got the Fulbright. I do know my plans for the most part though, so I know I am luckier than many.
  7. My heart started racing when I saw that! No word yet from Denmark, but I imagine it'll be in the next few days.
  8. In case anyone is interested, I emailed Eileen O'Malley and received this: "I am hopeful that we will be in a position to send notifications for Denmark soon. I am still awaiting Department of State approval to move forward and am hopeful that you will be notified shortly." I would imagine most of our notifications are held up in the State Department currently. I don't know if that's good or bad, but it's something.
  9. I'm still confused how one Norway applicant heard at the end of March and the rest are still waiting?
  10. I applied to Denmark! I really hope we find out soon...
  11. I think all of the finalist emails were sent around 5:30pm, but it seems like this round of notifications has been before 5.
  12. Who are you guys contacting to find out when you might be notified - the commission in your country or your US rep? I'm considering sending an email to find out. But on the other hand I don't wanna know...
  13. Still waiting to find out from Denmark. According to the spreadsheet, this upcoming week is when decisions normally go out (except for last year, when it was much later). Looks like they have mostly gone out on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Those seem to be common days for other countries too, I think? Does there actually seem to be a pattern there, or is it a coincidence? Just trying to figure out when I might get the email...
  14. Hi guys, I have a quick transcript question. I sent my transcripts in from my university, but I studied abroad in Australia and didn't send in that transcript. It has literally one grade on it, but was told by our on-campus advisors that I need to send it. I would just do it but it would cost me $50, so I want to make sure it's actually necessary. Anyone have any insight? Thanks.
