  1. Stress does strange things to a person. And maybe let's not talk down to people on a clearly unserious post?
  2. Translating for a domestic violence attorney. Always far more depressing than my rejections.
  3. Normally, I would say that Gmail is right-on about its blanket hatred of spam. However, I emailed three departments yesterday. Thus, whenever I open the spam folder and see: "Hooray, no spam here!" ...I just want to punch a baby. Not hooray, Gmail. Not hooray. Anyone else irrationally blaming their woes on completely legitimate policies? #tiredofwaiting
  4. Boo. Because of that waitlist I've been checking my mail even MORE excessively than usual. It's making me nervous because my other offer expires on April 1st. >.<
  5. When I got my very nice, personalized acceptance from the UK (Kentucky), I REALLY needed it. I was coordinating the the arrival/funding/event planning of a visiting professor (and personal idol) and the student government had rejected the funding THE DAY BEFORE THE LECTURE. As you can imagine, I was sweating, freaking out, and stressing out my whole cohort that shares a tiny office when I heard the gmail alert. I said something to the effect of, "Great. Now I get to read my third rejection in a row,"... and I ate those words so hard. It was the nicest letter I'd ever had written to me by a stranger and they had also submitted me for like three other scholarships. I gave no... fracks... for the rest of the day. (The funding for the professor got worked out, btw!)
  6. No news from Columbia. It's murder, as they're my #1 choice and another offer is already on the table (most likely two now, once the second is official). O.O
  7. I saw like one admittance, but there has been nothing else anywhere. Did you get in? Congrats if you did! Don't they only take like, 3?
  8. I originally posted this in the wrong section. My bad. Sorry if this is a repeat. [For Spanish or Hispanic Studies] (1) Has anyone heard so much as a peep from Columbia or Brown? (2) On a similar note, has anyone on Davis' wait list been accepted? (3) Also, ASU said they'd send out responses on the 18th-20th, if any of you are curious. I'm at 1a /1int / 1w / 3r at this point. The waiting is torture.
