  1. I'm stuck between fully funded and stipend from University of Iowa and Hunter College with little to no funding. Both for painting. Any thoughts?
  2. Accepted as well. Most likely going. I'm coming from Wyoming, and will be looking for a room mate for sure lol. this is so exciting and scary at the same time. also, when is the deadline to accept/decline?
  3. Hello all, I have been accepted to many schools with different offers and I think I've narrowed it down to 3 schools. University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign (painting and sculpture) Full ride, 50% TA, $7999 stipend for 9 months each year University of Iowa (Painting and Drawing) Full ride, 25% TA, $9100 stipend for 9 months each year, $3000 fellow ship for first year. University of Minnesota Minneapolis (Painting and Drawing) Full ride, 50% TA, $12000 stipend for 9 months each year, $1500 thesis grant for final year. I'm heading out to visit them soon. I was wondering if you all knew anything about these programs and their cities that would potentially help me out. This is a crazy hard decision for me. Thanks everyone. The merry go round is almost over.

  5. I was interviewed by VCU earlier this month, and was told decisions would be made at the end of the month. Got the email yesterday that they like my work and want to keep me on the waitlist. I would assume that if you haven't interviewed, and haven't heard back at least something by now...that it is a nope...I'm sorry. This anticipation game is killing my nerves.
  6. Got waitlisted for VCU painting. She said I was number 4 on the list...is that even worth hoping for? TU-portal is down today. Has anyone been accepted to Tyler for painting yet? I was interviewed, now just waiting.
  7. Interview with Hunter painting! I am so excited, I might be sick... Hunter- Interview VCU- Interviewed Tyler- Interviewed Rutgers- Rejected University of Wisconsin Madison- Accepted University of Iowa-- University of Illinois Urbana champaign-- University of Minnesota- Accepted
  8. Has anyone that's been interviewed my VCU for painting and printmaking heard back yet? I was interviewed and told decisions would be made at the end of the month. I wonder if they will email me if I am rejected...
  9. I forgot to ask while I was there too. I was all caught up in excitement and nervousness... I hope it is soon. How did your interview go?
  10. Hello all, I'm sitting here typing in Philadelphia, flew in from Wyoming. I've just had my interview with the Tyler painting faculty and talked with the grad students. The whole experience was really great. The interview was nothing like what I thought it was going to be and everyone was super friendly. The interview was a conversation with the faculty concerning my work. They didn't even ask me why I applied there. It was a very wonderful breath of fresh air and honest. It is great because I had a skype interview with VCU that I think went okay, but it proceeded to ruin my day anyways. They ask some tough shit. Like I said, it went okay but sheesh...also it was super stilted and formal with them asking scripted questions and writing the content of the interview by hand. If I am accepted there, I intend to visit and get a feel for the people and the program. Fingers crossed. I also got to speak to another who was interviewing here, who also skyped with VCU. He had the same experience, "great and all, tuff questions, the thought of screwing up ruined the rest of the day." Tyler seems wonderful, the only issue that seems a little murky is the funding and assistantship situation. They said if I am accepted more will be explained concerning how that works. Other than that, this place seems awesome. Congrats to everyone thus far and good luck to everyone for future interviews. Tyler-- Interviewed 2/21 VCU--Interviewed 2/9 Hunter-- Rutgers-- UW Madison--Accepted. Funding interviews in March University of Iowa-- University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign-- University of Minnesota-- Will be on again soon. Over and out...............................................................
