  1. As far as I can tell (and this definitely may vary with your own experiences) a lot of that may have to do with the difference in culture between terminal Masters and PhD programs. Most people I've met who tend suffer from impostor syndrome (myself included) tend to follow more research-oriented career trajectories.
  2. You might be best to list it under your internship to highlight it as an accomplishment, rather than making it look like a random factoid you tried to make into its own section.
  3. I wouldn't worry too much about a delayed reply over the summer; a lot of faculty are off-campus, doing research/development (or on vacation), so they may not be in an e-mail answering position right now. Give it a few more days, then maybe give a slight prod with a question about what she would recommend you do in to prepare this summer.
  4. Not to mention, just because (let's assume at this point) you're going to school C, doesn't mean you have to be completely done with schools A & B. Hell, you've stated they're already doing things you're interested in, and that could potentially lead to building relationships with the PIs there as potential influences and collaborators. Besides, you've gotta work somewhere once you've finished with all of this, right?
  5. I believe Mark Vosvick at the University of North Texas does research with LGBT and HIV/AIDS Populations as well (Counseling Psych)
  6. Also, throwing this out there; it bridge programs seem like an interesting way to go about making the shift, and I probably would have considered one if I hadn't already been accepted to a program I was really interested in. Check it out! hopefully it's useful! http://www.psychology.pitt.edu/hot-metal.php
  7. It's especially weird considering other programs in their department already had their decisions out ages ago.
  8. Same here. I had to actually call them again, and leave a message mentioning e-mailing them already before they sent the decision e-mail. I can't help but wonder what the hold up was...
  9. Has anyone heard back from the University of Connecticut program? There's been practically zero communication since I applied, and when I called I got stonewalled by one of the receptionists.
  10. I got accepted to CGU's Applied Social Psychology PhD program via USPS a couple of weeks back (though the mail took longer than the e-mail), and I got the e-mail from the Admissions Coordinator with funding info several days prior (3 weeks ago).
