  1. Thank you so much for your help, Secret_Ninja! This was very helpful. I'll call the US consulate later today. And good luck to all SSA folks! The waiting will be over soon!
  2. Sending all good vibes to those still waiting!! The wait is agonizing, and I'm so sorry to those still constantly refreshing their emails in hopes of any news at all. Hopefully today is the day! I have a question specific to those who have received the Fulbright. I'm currently attempting to fill out the Medical History and Immunization forms, and I'm on Part III: Vaccination History. The top of the instructions state, "Below are the generally recommended vaccinations for foreign participants traveling to the United States only." But, at the top, it says, "IT IS THE PARTICIPANT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE ANY TEST SPECIFICALLY REQUIRED BY THE HOST COUNTRY." Essentially, I'm wondering if we have to fill out the immunization history section in Part III, since it seems to state that it is only for foreign participants traveling to the U.S. Or, do we complete the section, plus adding proof of additional vaccinations for our specific countries? Would appreciate if anyone can help out! I called IIE today, but the woman I spoke to didn't seem to know, either. She said at the end of our phone call that it looked like I didn't need to fill out Part III at all, but she didn't know for sure. I don't want to risk not receiving the Fulbright!
  3. I'm actually running against an April 11th deadline, as well. It seems that several of us on this forum are nearing a dreaded moment of decision, one that would be incredibly difficult to make without having heard from Fulbright first. I sincerely hope for all of us that it doesn't come to that! I applied to Malaysia (hi to the other ETA applicants on the forum! I'm finally coming out of the woodwork!) For the past 2 years, Malaysia has had a late March to early April notification date (4/2 was the date last year), so I'm keeping my finger and toes crossed that it won't be too much longer. Here's to hoping the same for Laos, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and all the other countries whose applicants are having a panic attack every time they get a new email. Thanks again for passing on the information, and thanks for welcoming me into the Grad Cafe community!
  4. Hi starlettmimi - This is my first post, but I made an account just to thank you so much for passing this information along. Today has been a really tough day for me anxiety-wise (but aren't they all at this point?), and it's calming just to hear any information at all. Do you know if this information is specific to Laos, or does it apply to Jonathan Akeley's whole East-Asia region?
