  1. Ah, thanks. Apparently I'm still under review.
  2. Rejected by Stanford today, no word from MIT (Applied CSE course 10, don't know if this is reviewed by chemE faculty at the same time though). I expect a lot of good news for everyone in the coming few weeks! Good luck to all you guys, even if you may not need it Got GTech for CSE, which is awesome. Not to be rejected by all schools is a relief too.
  3. Do rejections get e-mailed typically? Or do they expect you to look at the status on their website? I haven't heard back from anywhere, I'm pretty okay with that, looking at the rejections rolling out. lol
  4. Grats!! Reading this post made me check my statuses. No word so far. That's because I was apparently missing some stuff for some schools including one that a reference just completely missed. FML, lol Q: Does CMU ChemE require a paper/official transcript? Did I misread or skip something? I uploaded my unofficial (official scanned) transcript. Remaining fairly optimistic, though I have industry offers if this falls through...
  5. I just discovered I was missing a transcript for one app - still don't know if I need one - and that one of my references forgot to submit for one of my apps when I could've sworn he did... i.e. "application submitted" != "application complete". Whatttt Big unpleasant surprises
  6. Got a followup email with an apology followed by the rejection copy pasted, best of luck to the rest.
  7. I got an email saying I didn't get selected, But it started with "Dear Nina," ... That's not my name.
  8. If that 3.77/4.00 is a converted GPA, it goes to either a (high?) 2-1 or a first. I'd say you have a shot (as in not immediately DQed by stats). Good luck is all anyone can say at this point
  9. I'm geniuinely curious, if people getting this anxious already, were they normally the anxious type? Do they score high on neurotic personality traits? How does this compare to undergrad admissions? Do you think this will be a recurring issue during grad school? Everyone being nervous makes me want to be nervous too... >><<
  10. It's still down. Here's a useful site for you all I don't think it has anything to do with applyYourself, the entire gsas site is dead right now, though maybe that was the problem before, I can't say. It's harvard grad school, the entire world is applying the day before! Maybe I'm being a bit extravagant... lol http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/http://www.gsas.harvard.edu/apply EDIT: From Reddit /gradadmissions, here's a link directly to the applyYourself login for Harvard graduate apps! https://app.applyyourself.com/AYApplicantLogin/fl_ApplicantConnectLogin.asp?id=hgsas
  11. Yeah. It is a small textbox already, and I don't have more than two sentences on the pre-college stuff. (edit: combined) Thanks!
  12. Typically for job apps and even grad school apps, I wouldn't mention things before high school, everyone has told me that. I've encountered a textbox that simply states: I have some internship experience for a university and a Fortune 100 company where I did work that is relevant to the lab I want to work for... Should I include it? I do have more items from my undergrad but I am wondering if listing high school internships, regardless of relevance would be detrimental to my application. Have I answered my own question?

    NDSEG Fall 2014

Turned mine in last week but 2/3 recs, just checked. I reminded him a few times too
  14. Don't see how UD is that different from UCSB, it's ranked top11 in chem eng.. Is there a big selectivity difference between the two? On topic, most schools at the top of your list won't consider people under a 3.8,basically the schools that above post said No' s for. But why not try if cost isn't a factor....
