  1. Hi all! I am planning for applying for MS in CS in Fall 15. I am confused on the third LOR. I can either get it from a Professor who taught 2 subjects, or from an Assistant Prof (Not a PhD) who taught a subject and supervised my final year semester project. The Professor has a good research profile, but his LOR will be on terms of sincerity and my overall impression on him (He rates me as a sincere and sharp student, but I have not worked with him on any research or projects). On the other the Assistant Prof (Masters holer, non PhD one) is not very much into research and has a teaching experience of 11 years of experience but his LOR content will be much more personal and he thinks highly of me. Whom should I ask for LOR? PS: Regarding my other LORs, I plan to get one from my current research advisor (I am serving as RA under him now), and my manager at previous workplace (Amazon). I am aiming top 15 universities.
  2. Someone please help out there. Thanks.
  3. Hi Does applying early for the MS program improve selection chances? How does my chances decrease if I apply say 10-15 days before the deadline? Thanks!

  5. Hi all I am an international student, and will be applying for Masters in Computer Science in Fall '15. I took GRE recently and scored 327, with 162 in verbal, 165 in quant, and AWA 4.0. I am worried due to my low quant score. In mocks I was getting around 169-170 in quant, and was scoring around 325-327. I am planning to apply in top 15 universities in US. Will 165 in quant hurt my application? Should I retake GRE exam? Thanks and regards!
