  1. Congratulations! Is anyone else starting grad school after their grant and worried about their grant end date / grad school start date overlapping?
  2. Do the second interview and, when you get the offer, let them know there is a chance that you would have to leave in the fall for the Fulbright. It's best to be transparent up front, especially since you might apply again in the future. If they are as good of a place to work as you believe they are, they should understand and can either hire you until the fall, or, ask you to reapply when you return.
  3. Has anyone else applied and gotten accepted to jobs/masters programs/other options while waiting for the final decisions to come out? I have a response deadline coming up that I need to either accept/decline... and not sure we will have heard back by then! Any advice?
  4. Will applying for a CLEA improve chances? I want to enroll in an intensive language program, but wondering whether it's frowned upon to NOT apply for a CLEA and do it here in the U.S?
  5. Has anyone completed the formal language evaluation and care to share your experience? Wondering what kinds of questions etc. they will ask and how they will test your writing/reading (I've been out of school for a few years and am asking my old language Professor from undergraduate). Thanks!
  6. Hi all! Very specific question related to the course auditing requirement for research grants and, particularly, for China. Here's the instructions on the Fulbright website: Graduating seniors and Bachelor’s-level candidates must propose to affiliate with Chinese universities and to have Chinese faculty members as advisers. Grantees will affiliate with Chinese universities and will audit classes at their host institutions. (Source) Anyone else have any insight? Xiexie!
