I'm 80% sure I will be accepting my offer to St. Ambrose. I had to interview remotely, but I really liked the faculty I interviewed with. Their program website makes it seem like the department is supportive and invested in their students, and I got that vibe during the interview too, which is a really important quality for me when it comes to grad programs. Davenport also seems like a nice area (speaking only from looking at things online, I've never been)
Most of the programs I applied to are too far away to visit easily, and I'm afraid of choosing somewhere that turns out to not be a good fit. At least with St. Ambrose, I know I like some of the faculty. And the second year can be completed from almost anywhere, so if I completely hate the area, I could theoretically move somewhere else.
The only things holding me back from being fully committed is the cost of the program and the distance from home.
