Hi, i want to study Civil Engineering (Master) at ETH Zürich. I am studying at a German Technical University right now. I want to know, how good should be my GPA? In German scale the best Grade is 1,0 and the worst pass Grade is 4,0. But at a German Technical University it is almost impossible to have a GPA between 1,0 and 1,5 (in Bachelor Civil Engineering). It is also hard to have a GPA better than 2,0. There are maybe 2-3, max 5 people from 100 people have a better GPA than 2,0. Is it important that the German Universities are harder than the others, or they just look to the GPA. For example: a student from German Uni with a GPA 3,1/4,0 and an other student from .... with a GPA 3,9/4,0. How they decide? I will be happy for any information about master at ETH Zürich. Thanks.
