Hi All! Thanks so much for starting this thread :) I applied back in 2015 and was waitlisted at U of T and denied at York. This time around I am planning on applying to Laurier's online MSW (2.5 year), York's 2-year MSW, and Lakehead's 12-month BSW. At this point I am leaning towards Laurier because I would be able to continue working and want something with a clinical focus that is not U of T (I attended U of T for my undergrad and M.Ed. and am a bit "done" with the place haha). I am more interested in the social detriments of well-being and feel very aligned with York's program, but all of my education thus far has been in the social justice field, and I think that having a more clinical focus may broaden my skill set! Currently my plan is to apply for all three for the fall 2019 intake :) I look forward to this journey with you all!

hey everyone! for those of you who are receiving acceptances in the mail and got accepted on ROSI last week, has your sgs changed? I am already accepted into another u of t grad program so it wouldn't show up on ROSI and i am international so the mail takes about 10 extra days to get here! not expecting an acceptance necessarily but was wondering if sgs has changed so i can know a little sooner! thanks and congrats everyone! it will be a great year!

yeah i was also rejected from york! bummer but not unexpected as they accept so few applicants!! good luck everyone!

This York stuff seems weird! I am in the boat where I have not heard anything from them yet, but with people getting acceptances, rejections and wait lists I don't really understand how they can't know everybody's status yet! This waiting game is starting to get to me!

yeah honestly if money was no issue, OISE SJE would be my top choice, but especially being an international student i am really hoping on hearing something from York. I really want to go to graduate school but adding at least 30k a year onto my already existing undergrad loans to go to U of T doesn't sound that enticing. And I really love York's social justice focus that they seem to have in almost all of their graduate programs!

It can be awfully long! Did you apply to the MA? I heard from OISE (I am very thankful) but am still waiting to hear back from the other four programs that I applied to...the wait is finally starting to get to me!!

It would be right underneath where your undergrad is, so it would be inviting you to fall 2015 and winter 2016. Crazy to think that info is stored for so long!!

Do any of you guys know if you can be "invited" to more than one program on ROSI? I already got into OISE, and that has showed up on my ROSI but I'm wondering if it is possible that other acceptances wouldn't be able to show up on the site? Probably I just didn't get in, haha, but just wondering if any one else is in this situation.

hey, just wondering if any of you got the first round acceptance to ryerson's journalism program, when did you have to notify them by? just obsessively trying to figure out when second rounds will be sent out haha

Check on ROSI. I just checked and mine was updated!

Hey I know this thread is a little dead, but I saw that someone got accepted into Ryerson's Journalism program and was wondering if anybody else had heard anything yet? I'm wondering if they already sent out all first round admissions then... Thanks!

Hey! Just wondering @hazelnut.latte did they mention when they would officially be releasing the admissions decisions for SJE? I applied for the MA and MEd though. CONGRATS. that's awesome! Also, just curious if any one else applied to Masters of Journalism at Ryerson? I saw that someone heard back yesterday! Still waiting!

Waiting to hear back is awful. Why can't they just let us know already. I think Ryerson could be the first to hear back from, but at the end of the day I really have no idea!!

My says Under Review as well...I imagine it will stay that way for a while!! I am very excited to hear back though! April or later seems to far away!!
